Introducing the UTI assessment tool for intermittent catheter users1

UTIs are a multifactorial condition caused by a variety of factors and intermittent catheter users face their own unique patient journey when dealing with UTIs. The UTI assessment tool for intermittent catheter users introduces a structured method to supplement your dialogue with patients, supporting you in assessing their UTIs to potentially benefit them and increase their quality of life.

The UTI assessment tool is based on the UTI Risk Factors model and has been developed in collaboration with 90 nurses across global advisory boards. Designed to assist HCPs, it is here to support clinical practice and raise the standard in assessing and treating UTIs. It is recognised by the European Association of Urology Nurses (EAUN) and is included in the EAUN guidelines 2024.²
