Privacy notice

As data controllers, (insert local Coloplast company name and address) and Coloplast A/S, Holtedam 1, 3050 Humlebaek, Denmark (“Coloplast”) will ensure that personal data is treated with care and in accordance with current rules.

Coloplast will process the personal data (name, profession, hospital, country, e-mail, short read preferences, history and activity) on persons that sign up for Coloplast events and webinars. Coloplast may also process the personal data to pursue legitimate interests in improving communication, services and offerings. Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) form the legal bases for how Coloplast will process the personal data. You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your situation, at any time to the processing of your personal data based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests), cf. Article 21(1) GDPR.

Coloplast employees will process the data exclusively for specified purposes. Coloplast will in certain cases use systems run on third-party platforms or involve third parties in the processing (e.g., hosting service providers). Such cases will imply the sharing of data to a third party, but solely for the specified purposes and with the third party acting as a data processor on instructions from Coloplast. Data may be collected and processed across the Coloplast network, which may entail the processing of personal data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, an adequate level of protection will be ensured by the third parties being subject to the Standard Contractual Clauses on data protection adopted by the EU, to an EU-approved certification mechanism on data protection or based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission. The data will be de-personalized if the contract is terminated or otherwise ended, e.g., if no substantial interactions between the user and Coloplast have taken place within the last three (3) years (interactions may include, but are not limited to, any orders, letters, e-mails, calls or any other type of communication), unless Coloplast is subject to legal obligations that require data storage for a longer period of time.

 

What are my rights?

You can write to privacyrequests@coloplast.com at any time to request:

  • Access to your data
  • Rectification or deletion of your data
  • Restrictions in respect of the processing of your data
  • To receive your data in machine-readable format (data portability)
  • Opt-out of the short-read service (withdraw consent)

Exercising the above rights is free of charge and will not result in any adverse consequences on your part. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Coloplast has appointed a data protection officer (DPO). If you have any questions regarding the way Coloplast processes personal data, please email our DPO at DataProtectionOffice@coloplast.com or send a letter addressed to Coloplast, attn. Data Protection Officer. Complaints regarding the way Coloplast processes personal data should also be sent to our data protection officer. If you are dissatisfied, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection regulator.
