Introduction

Leakage and peristomal skin complications (PSCs) can have a significant physical and psychological impact on people living with a stoma.1 These skin complications, such as irritation, infection, and ulceration around a stoma, can cause significant physical discomfort and psychological distress for individuals with a stoma. Effective management through proper stoma care, suitable ostomy products, and regular skin assessment is crucial to reduce these impacts and improve overall quality of life.
