Pressure Injury Prevention: Identification, Assessment and Prevention of Pressure Injuries

In this course, developed together with Sharon Baronoski, you will learn how to classify pressure injuries, how to examine and assess the patient´s skin as well as get techniques for preventing pressure injuries.

After completing this course, you will understand:


• The impact of a pressure injury on the patient
• How a pressure injury develops and how to classify the stages of pressure injuries
• The risk factors for pressure injury development and the essential elements of a skin assessment
• The techniques for preventing pressure injuries

 

To pass this course you will need a minimum score of 70% to receive a certificate endorsed by EWMA.
