How Biatain Fiber addresses these challenges
Biatain Fiber is developed together with healthcare professionals to meet the everyday challenges of managing complex wounds.
Its unique Hexalock Technology integrates the gelling fibers into a reinforced hexagon net, giving Biatain Fiber the strength to lock in exudate and reduce exudate pooling for optimal healing conditions
Locks in exudate and bacteria
Biatain Fiber effectively absorbs and retains high levels of exudate and bacteria, thereby reducing exudate pooling. This helps maintain a moist wound healing environment to support healing.
- Absorbs exudate vertically
- Reduces the risk of maceration
Minimal Shrinkage
Biatian Fiber forms a strong gel on contact with exudate. It conforms to and maintains close contact with the wound bed³ with minimal shrinkage.
- Reduces risk of gap creation
- Reduces exudate pooling
Biatain Fiber is an ideal solution to reduce exudate pooling

Hexalock Technology
HexaLock Technology is the unique technology that gives Biatain Fiber the properties to enable wound healing. It combines absorbent CMC gelling fibers with strengthening fibers that are locked together and reinforced in a hexagon net. this enables the dressing to lock in and retain exudate and support one-piece removal.4
My experience with Biatain Fiber in a community setting
“A key factor for me and, above all, for my patients is that both the application and the removal are atraumatic, it comes out in one piece, it keeps its shape, it does not break, it does not leave any fiber remains within the wound bed. This is an important factor for the healing process.”
Maria, Advanced practice nurse in chronic complex wound care, Spain.
