Biatain Fiber Ag is an advanced gelling fiber dressing designed for the management of moderate to highly exuding wounds that are infected or at risk of infection. It combines excellent exudate management, biofilm disruption and sustained broad spectrum antimicrobial activity** to help address the key factors that can complicate wound healing.
The science behind the silver
Biatian Fiber Ag contains two ingredients that together provide a triple action effect: Silver and LAE (Ethyl Lauroyl Arginate).
LAE acts as a surfactant and chelator in one, disrupting and destabilising biofilm, to expose bacteria and make it more vulnerable to silver.
This enables silver to penetrate quickly, killing bacteria within 30 minutes.†
The Silver then keeps working—to deliver sustained antimicrobial action for lasting protection throughout dressing weartime.+
